Why Enterprise HR Leaders Should Be in Stockholm Next Week

The future of work conversation has reached an important turning point.

For several years, organisations have been surrounded by noise: AI forecasts, skills frameworks, labour market volatility, shifting employee expectations, geopolitical uncertainty and endless predictions about what work might become. Much of it has been useful. Some of it has been distracting. The question now is not whether the world of work is changing. It is whether leaders are ready to act with clarity.

That is why the theme of Future Talent Summit 2026 matters: From Insight to Action.

Taking place in Stockholm next week (16–17 June 2026), the Summit brings together senior leaders from business, policy and academia to focus on one of the defining leadership questions of our time: how do we turn evidence, dialogue and partnership into meaningful action?

As Global Advisory Board Member, Future Talent Council, and through my work with AmpliTask this is where enterprise HR needs to be- part of this conversation.

Because I've said it before - skills talk is easy. Work redesign is harder.

It is now possible to have more data than ever about jobs, skills, tasks, talent flows, workforce sentiment and organisational capability. But insight alone does not change the organisation. Dashboards do not redesign work. AI pilots do not automatically create productivity. Skills taxonomies do not transform workforce strategy unless they are connected to decisions.

The real opportunity for CHROs, Chief People Officers, Heads of Talent, Strategic Workforce Planning and People Analytics leaders is to move beyond description and into design.

For HR leaders, the opportunity is not simply to ask, “What will AI do to jobs?” It is to ask better questions:

Which work should be redesigned first? Where does human judgement create the most value? Which skills matter because they change outcomes? How do we connect workforce intelligence to capital allocation, learning investment and operating model decisions? How do we give emerging talent a meaningful voice in shaping the systems they will inherit? Indeed these are all categories in our own diagnostic for workflows.

Michael Gerlich alone is worth attending for! Human judgement is a strategic asset- what happens when we optimise for humans and not create AI Panic and a drive to cost efficiency....?

The future of work is not just a technology transition. It is a work design transition. The world of work is not broken, it is outdated,

That is AmpliTask lens. Work redesign is the strategy. Human impact is the outcome. And that's why I shall be in Stockholm next week.

The Summit is also designed to support connection- real humans meeting, sharing, learning and listening. Connection is still what drives success! Given that the transition we are facing needs strong links between business leaders, educators, policymakers, investors, technologists and workforce experts, this feels like the place to be.

Whilst I think the summit may be close to full ( Future Talent Council ?) if you want to attend, want to test your thinking, build partnerships, and return with sharper questions let me know. I am sure we can find a way to make it happen and I have access to discount code information for relevant HR contacts.

To enquire, message me or AmpliTask.
